Pursuit covered more than 30 miles before dad was found with suitcase full of drugs in his boot
A drugs courier carrying nearly £700,000 of cocaine tore through a farmer's field in his Range Rover as he desperately attempted to flee from police.
But this manoeuvre was unsuccessful, and he continued onwards to junction nine of the motorway at Winwick. Dashcam footage from a pursuing patrol car, which was played to the court, showed him weaving in and out of traffic on the exit slip road before driving onto the pavement and speeding past a B&Q store, then through Winwick Quay Business Park.
The video showed him stepping out of the driver's side door with hands held up, being surrounded by several officers brandishing batons. One could even be seen leaping onto the bonnet of the Range Rover as they effected the arrest. Holt refused to provide the pin number to his phone and gave no comment under interview. He has no previous convictions.
