Peter fell ill in August last year

Peter Brimage from Skelmersdale has been bed bound after a series of strokes left him only able to use his left arm. His best friend Frank Hughes said that his health had worsened after hitting his head on a night out in 2019.

Frank told the ECHO: "It was suspected he had a stroke in August 2022 but it did not come up until he had a scan. He then had another stroke in October which left him unable to walk. We do not know quite how it was caused but he was not in the greatest health beforehand. Frank and Peter have been friends for more than 40 years after meeting at school. He said Peter is the kind of person who "would help anyone" before his accident.

"He lives for football and he would watch the Blues home and away whenever he could. He would talk about the club all the time he is besotted with Everton."
