The daughter was told she had a 'family role' to fulfil
A dad has been criticised online for forcing his daughter to cook a family meal, saying that it's a "traditional family role" that must be fulfilled.
He took to Reddit to explain that his 21-year-old daughter was a college student who lived at the house rent-free, with the condition that she take turns cooking, cleaning and looking after her younger sibling."A few days ago I invited my friends over for dinner. My wife was going to cook up something for us as she usually does but unfortunately, the day before they were to arrive she was feeling a bit nauseous, but told me it would probably go away the next day .
She did eventually end up cooking the meal, but has maintained a frosty attitude to her dad ever since. He says he understands why his daughter is upset, but is conflicted over whether he's done anything wrong.
