It's every parent's worst nightmare to hear that their child has cancer. But that was exactly what happened to parents Natasha and Mark Molloy.
After being seen by a consultant, it was confirmed that George's spleen was enlarged; a symptom that would add up with IBS. Follow up bloods were done to make sure that it wasn't celiac disease or there's not a food intolerance, Natasha said. At just four-years-old, George now faces another three and a half years of treatment to make him better. The devastating news came just days after Natasha had given birth to George's little brother, who was born on the Sunday before they saw the consultant.
To make him feel better about losing his hair, George's dad Mark agreed with him that he would keep shaving his hair until George's came back. So when the time came to shave George's head, George then shaved his dad's after.
