“Spotting the small differences in tastes between varieties isn’t easy but it’s essential to give customers the best sprouts.” Ben, from Leeds, who studied food nutrition at university, is hoping more people will start eating sprouts outside the festive season. As to the “Marmite” veg at Christmas, he insists: “They’re the best thing on the plate! Just ahead of pigs in blankets.”
