Starting on Friday, this weekend is the annual Weekend of Celebration, where free events all over the country celebrate everyone’s unique interests, culture, and passions. In 2021, over 2,400 people ‘made’ a Fun Palace in their local communities despite the pandemic. Some 28,000 people attended activities across the country, including beekeeping , drag king storytelling and urban farms. Zoey Dixon is a Community Hub Library Manager for Lambeth Libraries and started incorporating Fun Palaces into library activity in 2015.
