CS2's player count is already so high that Valve are having to add more servers to meet the high player demand.
: “Turns out a lot of you want to play Counter Strike 2!” It seems this popularity has caused a few issues, which the message would also explain. “If you’re having trouble finding a match, it’s because we’ve hit server capacity in different regions. We’re adding more server capacity as fast as possible. Thanks for your patience while this is being addressed.”
A quick look at the game’s concurrent players gives us an idea of just how popular the follow-up’s launch has been, withthat the game has amassed a peak of 1,394,301 players in the last 24 hours. While server capacity issues are certainly not fun for players to experience, the numbers are certainly nothing to be sniffed at.
Presumably then, we’ll be seeing a lot of updates and tweaks to CS2 as Valve try to accommodate for the rapid influx of players. They’ve already gotten out some of the first Counter Strike 2 patches, and we expect there’ll certainly be more to come over the coming weeks.
