Criminal barristers in England and Wales have voted to end their strike action after accepting a new pay offer from the Government
The Criminal Bar Association accept the Government’s offer of a 15 per cent pay rise and the strike will end later today.
The strike has added to an existing backlog of cases in the court system following the impact of Covid and cuts to the criminal justice system. In a statement, the Criminal Bar Association said: “The criminal justice system remains chronically underfunded.”
