The fire broke out on Kingston Street in the Tradeston area of the city
A huge fire continues to engulf a building in Glasgow city centre today, nearly 24 hours on from when it first started.
Emergency services, including Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, rushed to the scene in an effort to assist those involved and temper the flames. Road closures remain in place following the dramatic event, affecting Kingston St at Tradeston St to Commerce St, and from Nelson St at Commerce St to Tradeston St.
The Tradeston vicinity also remains locked down to secure surrounding buildings. Footage taken of the incident yesterday showed white smoke wafting over the city centre. There were also reports of a smell of burning plastic.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Cordons are in place as the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service continue to extinguish a blaze and make secure surrounding buildings in the Tradeston area.
