EXCLUSIVE: The Wellbeing Economy secretary said coronavirus had a 'large part to play' in a breakdown of trust between businesses and SNP Government.
Covid restrictions helped cause a breakdown between Scots businesses and the government, a senior SNP minister has admitted.
It comes as the Scottish Government under Humza Yousaf attempts to reset its relationship with the business sector. Relations during Nicola Sturgeon's time in office soured following the failed introduction of the deposit return scheme and a consultation - which was later scrapped - on whether to ban alcohol advertising in public spaces
Asked where the relationship with businesses had gone wrong, he said: "It's difficult as the engagement was really strong. There was a lot that contributed to a breakdown in that level of trust.
