Coventry are set to bring in AFC Wimbledon head of recruitment Jamie Johnson in a reshuffle of the club's backroom team, sources have told Football Insider.

But the 52-year-old is now set to become director of football at the Championship club with Johnson working alongside him as head of recruitment.

Johnson boasts a wealth of experience having worked with the likes of Tottenham, Millwall, Derby and Brighton in various recruitment roles.he was delighted with the hire, saying, “Dean brings a wealth of experience across football to the Club in what will be an important role for us both in the short-term”.Coventry were busy in January, bringing four senior players to the club.

Former Preston man Sean Maguire joined the club on a free transfer while Brooke Norton-Cuffey Josh Wilson-Esbrand and Luke McNally arrived on loan from Arsenal, Man City and Burnley respectively.They are next in action against high-flying West Brom on Friday night .
