Thankfully, the Covid quarantine didn’t end in disaster – in fact, far from it.
Dan had been paralysed from the belly button down after a motorbike accident in June 2014, but that hadn’t got in the way of his love of adventure. ‘The journey to falling for Dan was quick, but after spending two weeks locked in a hotel room together, it was hard not to love him.’Dan, from Grantham, Lincolnshire, said: ‘I found a woman that loved every part of me.‘I honestly never thought I would meet someone like Eve – she blew me away.’
This ordeal left him with a compression at the C4 vertebrae in his neck, and it was decided it would be too unsafe for Dan to race again.
