An old railway line could be transformed into a path for cycling and walking
A politician is fighting to get a new cycle path added to a neglected park in the East End.can win funding to create the active travel route across Hogarth Park.
Bailie Carroll said:"Hogarth Park has been left to rack and ruin for years. We are pushing for the active travel route in the park for folk around Haghill."We have had people not going to the park because of how neglected it has been in the past."The Hogarth Park active travel route along with other improvements has been shortlisted among a number of proposals to be taken forward as part of the council’s liveable neighbourhood transformations taking place around the city.
A plan to construct a road through the park from the Forge shopping centre to Provan Road has been stalled after Greens councillors launched a petition against it.
