A former Coronation Street star, who was a fan favourite on the ITV soap, has now landed a huge movie role, two years after officially leaving the Corrie cobbles.
Ruxandra Porojnicu, who featured in Coronation Street until her exit in September 2021, has revealed she will be starring in the upcoming film Sumotherhood.The star shared the official movie trailer along with the caption: “Hey Sprinkle, SUMOTHERHOOD comes in cinema October 13th”. Ruxandra previously opened up about her role in Corrie and how she kept her job working in a cafe alongside the acting job.
In Ruxandra’s last scenes in the soap, her pregnant character Alina decided to leave Weatherfield after discovering that Tyrone Dobbs had lied to her and even kissed his ex Fiz Stape.
