CoronationStreet fans floored as they discover Elaine star Paula Wilcox's age Corrie
Coronation Street fans were left stunned recently after discovering Elaine Metcalfe star Paula Wilcox's age.
In recent episodes, Elaine, who got engaged to Stephen earlier this year, almost died after the Weatherfield murderer, who has a life insurance policy on her, spiked her tea and replaced her blood pressure pills with caffeine pills. As the couple's wedding nears, fans have only just worked out that Audrey Roberts will become Elaine's mother-in-law, which in turn has made viewers aware of the tiny age gap between the two stars in real life. Paula is 73, while Sue is 79.
However, this isn't the only age gap to shock viewers as last years fans were surprised to discover the age gap between Audrey and Gail Platt stars, who play mother and daughter, on the ITV soap.
