BREAKING: Man, 19, stabbed in the chest
Whitehead Park, which sits off Ainsworth Road and Newbold Street, was fully taped off. Pictures from Monday morning show at least one police car at the scene with tape in place in the park.
"A 19-year-old man was found to have sustained a stabbing injury to the left side of his chest. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing. He is in hospital receiving treatment. Sergeant John Nestor of Bury CID said: “This was a targeted attack that has left a young man with a serious stabbing injury.
