Police are probing an "unexplained" death in the Scottish Borders, after the body of a woman was discovered in a flat.
Police Scotland said death of a 49-year-old woman was being treated as unexplained, and a post mortem would be carried out in due course. A spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, police received a report a 49-year-old woman had died within a house in Eildon Crescent in Melrose.
