At around 3.15pm, cops were called to Main Road in Elderslie following reports that a man had assaulted a 43-year-old woman and tried to gain access to a vehicle.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident and the man is said to have fled the scene when passers-by stopped to help. Police have now released a description of the suspect and are appealing for witnesses who may be able to assist with their investigations.Anyone with information should contact Police
