Latest Nottingham Forest news as Steve Cooper's Reds beaten 3-2 by Manchester United in Premier League
Travel sickness was a real problem for the Reds last term as they picked up just eight points - including a solitary win - on the road. They have made improving that tally a key aim this season as they look to push on in the Premier League.
In four games against United in 2022/23, Forest failed to score a single goal. They lost 3-0 in the league and 2-0 in the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford. READ MORE: How the Reds rated against Man United “I feel we are making small steps to becoming a better team than last season and the team we really want to become in this stage of our journey,” Cooper said. “It’s another loss away from home - and I’m bringing that up before anyone else, because we need to continue to own that until we change it, which we are trying to do.
“One of the frustrations we have from the game is that we had some really good moments to create and score again,” Cooper added. “We got in some good positions in the box and the lads really stuck to the plan over where we felt we could hurt United. That came to fruition, apart from doing the most important bit, which is putting the ball in the goal.“When you concede goals, there’s always something you’ll look at and think you can do better with. That will be the case as well.
