Alan Wake 2 developer Remedy Entertainment confirms the highly-anticipated Control 2 remains in the 'proof-of-concept' stage.
Alan Wake 2 is finally out and the game is an absolute masterpiece. It’s an incredible nightmare that has more than lived up to the hype and anticipation since all of us began begging for a sequel in 2010. But, away from Alan Wake 2, another sequel fans want to see is Control 2. We won’t see the return of Jesse Faden for a while yet, but Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that Control 2 is in the ‘proof-of-concept’ development stage.
The following update comes from the studio’s CEO, Tero Virtala: ‘Control 2 continues in the proof-of-concept stage. The plans for this sequel are ambitious, and we have seen good progress both in the designs and in the game build. We will continue at this stage for the next few quarters. We focus on proving the identified key elements before moving to the next stage and scaling up the team.’ Aside from the above message, the only other official news concerning Control 2 was received in 2022.
