Construction of Issa brothers' controversial Blackburn 'McMansions' well underway after project branded 'a shambles'
is well underway with Asda-owning Blackburn billionaires Mohsin and Zuber Issa building the properties for themselves and their families.
The Issa brothers' plans to knock down eight houses and replace them with five new luxury residences caused uproar in 2018 with local residents strongly opposed to what they dubbed ‘The McMansions'. Local residents objected not only when the initial planning application was submitted to “The whole thing has been a pantomime. What we are left with is not two but five ugly sisters. Because I have been against this grandiose plan for the start, I would object to all the variations requested.”
