In an emotional post on Facebook, a worried friend of Stephen's said he was last known to be in Wales on a solo camping trip. "He cannot drive and so he therefore walks everywhere, or takes public transport. He is always dressed very casually, ready for walking, with a sturdy pair of hiking boots and a rucksack.
