'I'll be still be squealing when the goals go in' he says
Comedian and radio presenter Matt Forde has revealed he's taking a few weeks off for surgery after being diagnosed with a spinal tumour. The Nottingham-born star announced he was taking a break on Twitter, now X.
"Some personal news. I’ve had awful sciatica lately. It’s caused by a spine tumour. I need surgery so I’ll be off for a bit. I’ll record some shows to cover the gap . I’ll be fine. In the words of Steve Cooper, I’ll trust the process," the 40-year-old announced. Matt, an impressionist who voiced Boris Johnson and Donald Trump on ITV Spitting Image, hosts Rock 'N' Roll Football on Absolute Radio. He told listeners: "I'll be back after a few weeks and I'll be fine. It's just like a footballer going through an injury. I don't want people to think that I'm being lazy. We're going to get the health problem done.
The Britpop Footballer wrote: "Ironic isn’t it that Spine Tumour was going to be our synth duo name. I suppose that’s on the back burner now. Love you mate. We’ll be dahn the Barrels before you know it yoth."
