'I've got so many happy memories from going there when I was a kid.'
When it comes to family activities in Blackpool there's plenty to choose from whether it's the piers, arcades or the Pleasure Beach.
During our exclusive interview with Loose Women's Coleen Nolan, who is due to embark on a UK-wide tour of theatres with her solo Naked show, we asked her what her favourite free activity is to do in her hometown. And she was quick to highlight one of Blackpool's best local facilities.She told LancsLive: "I've got so many memories as a kid of playing in Stanley Park and me and my family still go there a lot; it's just beautiful and always has been.
"It's equally beautiful, they've kept it really well, and then in the middle of all that is that beautiful café. It's a beautiful place to go." Open every day between dawn and dusk, the park is split into four zones: the north and western formal gardens; the eastern area lake and woodland area; and the south stretch containing children’s play areas and sports facilities.
