The Aldi version comes in at more than half the price
Many of Aldi's own-brand products have become much-loved staples over the years, but it may not be time to switch coffee brands yet. Although the German retailer's Alcafe Intenso comes in at £2.59, more than half the price of the Americano Intense Nescafe, it may not be a match in terms of flavour, Birmingham Live reports.
That said, the rate in which I was getting through it was denting my wallet. And so that brings me to the £2.59 Aldi version. Can it step up to my favourite? It was time to try.I followed the instructions, a spoonful of coffee from Aldi's 100g tub into a cup of hot water and the same from the 90g Azera tub. The difference in smell and look was immediate.
