The walk-in on Hanover Street is to be relocated
Walk-in centre services in Liverpool city centre are to be relocated to meet the expected demand winter will bring.
It is expected the plan - which is to go before city councillors next week - could be completed by mid-October.According to documents made public ahead of Liverpool Council’s adult social care and health scrutiny committee, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside are moving to relocate the site amid a national mandate to transform walk into centres into a new urgent treatment centre model which Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust are commissioned to deliver.
Walk in centres in Old Swan and South Liverpool on Church Road, Garston, have been enhanced to convert to UTCs already. The Hanover Street location is a leasehold building which expires on October 31.
