The charity held a similar event at the Royal Albert Hall last year
TV personality Christopher Biggins is set to return to Belfast next month to raise awareness for a dementia charity. The former I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here star will be in the city to assist wrapping the Waterfront Hall in a giant scarf to raise awareness of Lewy Body Dementia.
Discussing the idea for the event, Lewy Body Society ambassador, Vicky Hands told Belfast Live that she first became aware of the disease after her husband received a diagnosis. The event was due to be held shortly after the Queen died last year and was subsequently rescheduled which led to the idea of also bringing the event to Belfast.
"It would be nice if volunteers on the day were to wear a hand knitted scarf and we will have charities collecting them if they want to donate them afterwards. Last year, we donated the mile of scarves to different charities and they all found a good home.
