Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen has already given Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg transfer advice.
The 28-year-old looked set to be joining Atletico Madrid in a £30m deal earlier this summer before the move collapsed, while he also turned down an offer from the Saudi Pro League. With Hojbjerg mulling over his future, the former Southampton captain could turn to his Denmark teammate Eriksen for guidance, as he did in 2020 when making his move to Spurs.“I called Christian [Eriksen] and had a chat. Ten Hag evidently enjoyed working with Hojbjerg as he attempted to sign him at Ajax but in a quirk of fate, Eriksen’s praise for Spurs ultimately proved to be part of the reason why the pair were not reunited in Amsterdam.
