Chorlton man, 66, charged after Just Stop Oil protests at Wimbledon tennis championships
A 66 year-old man from Manchester has been charged by police after Just Stop Oil protests disrupted the Wimbledon tennis championships.
He and two others are due to appear before magistrates in the capital on Monday, August 7, added the Met.In a statement on Friday, the Metropolitan Police said: "Three people have been charged with aggravated trespass following two incidents at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships on Wednesday, 5 July.
"They arrested following two separate incidents at the tournament on the afternoon of Wednesday, 5 July. They were detained by security staff before being arrested by Met officers."
