The John Bull from Holly Tree chippy in Blackburn has gone viral on TikTok after it was tested by a local legend
You might see the words 'John Bull' and 'chippy' together and have absolutely no idea what this means.
Well it appears many people on TikTok are only just discovering the foodstuff. That's when Alfie Odd Job, a social media star, visited the chippy to try one for himself. Visiting Holly Tree, Alfie asks for their 'famous John Bull and scraps' - a true northern sentence if you ever did hear one. The 28-second video clip shows Alfie ordering the meal and then describing what it is, stating: "It's just two layers of potato, like a Dab, with some mince meat in between and then they've thrown it in a deep fat fryer.
