Not the future many will have been expecting for this building

Preston will see brand new technology and history live side-by-side, after the city's Harris Building was sold to the Chinese Buffet Company.

The mid-19th Century building is a former arts school, with campaigners hoping to retain the property, which has been vacant since 2014, to its original use. Reported locally, the building is set to be used as a Chinese Buffet, with BellaBot devices used within the establishment. These are front-of-house service robots that deliver food and drinks to tables, described as "the ultimate delivery robot for your restaurant.

Now, it looks like the building's future will be drastically different than before. On their Facebook page, leader of Friends of The Harris School of Art updated users with news of the buildings' future. Special thanks to John Chesworth of Harrison-Drury, Patricia Harrison of Friends of Winckley Square Gardens, Timothy Joel from preston-city-council>Preston City Council and Rosie Paterson of Lancashire County Council for all their advice, help and support.
