As if Gemma doesn’t have enough on her plate, she’s also agreed to work as Henry Newton’s PA after he said that he’d buy the Rovers if she worked for him in return. Gemma faces Henry’s determination at the start of next week, as he lures her to a hotel and confesses that he’s lost his job, but loves her with all of his heart and wants them to spend the rest of their lives together.Of course, Gemma is completely dumbfounded after making it clear to Henry that she’s married with children, but what will her response be?
Later in the week, Bernie attempts to help the family by offering to make a contribution to the bills but Gemma won’t hear of it, convinced they’re in this mess because of her.
