Cherwell District Council's executive agree to move from Bodicote House to Castle Quay in Banbury.
On Monday, Cherwell District Council's executive committee agreed to move from Bodicote House to Castle Quay in Banbury, which the authority owns.
A report presented that the move would allow the council to establish new headquarters in a smaller, more modern and energy-efficient space. Leader of the council Barry Wood said: “This move would save the taxpayer money on annual running and maintenance costs, support our sustainability pledge, and make us more accessible to our residents."
The future of Bodicote House will be considered alongside any potential move and the move itself could occur in late 2024.
