The charity say that more and more people are running into problems after buying mobility equipment online
A Belfast based charity have launched a new scooter safety check service after reports that their members were being scammed after buying mobility equipment online.
"We were finding that these people had no one to turn to and unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who aren't providing the service that these vulnerable people need. "We are a charity and can avail of equipment and batteries a bit cheaper, so it is our intention to pass that on to our members and the general public," Julie continued.
"We do have our own maintenance team but they are busy with their own work, so we can only take on small jobs at the moment," Julie added.
