More cars left submerged as heavy rain causes road beneath bridge in Levenshulme to flood AGAIN

Cars were left submerged on Monday after a spell of heavy rain caused a notorious south Manchester road to flood yet again.

The problematic road hit headlines earlier this year when it was blocked off by fire crews who were forced to wade through the water and rescue two people who had become trapped when their cars became submerged. And in 2021, drivers fell victim once more to the dangerous conditions on Crossley Road, with some becoming stranded and others filmed struggling to drive through the floodwater following Storm Barra.
