The weather caused severe disruption in parts of Southern England
The Met Office had issued a yellow rain warning covering most of southern England for Wednesday night and into Thursday, with people told to expect transport delays, flooding and power issues.
It comes as Aurore, a low-pressure system, moved in from France, bringing 45mph winds in the worst affected areas.
