Manchester City surprisingly crashed out in the cup’s quarter-final against Nathan Jones’ Southampton side. Only that cup exit stood in the way of the club from securing a historic quadruple and a clean sweep of all available major honours. Perfectionist manager Pep Guardiola will definitely be keen to go one step further this year and a favourable draw would be a good way to get the ball rolling.The Magpies never really got going in the final against United in their first cup final since 1999 - which ironically came against Sir Alex Ferguson's United.
