“I've never been more naked in public and showing my psoriasis there was just overwhelming.”
Some quick background info on psoriasis: it's a common skin disease that affects an estimated 1.1 million people in the UK,at The University of Manchester and the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. The chronic inflammatory skin disease can occur on different parts of the body, to varying degrees, and can come and go in cycles lasting weeks or months. Psoriasis causes red and itchy scaly patches on the skin, most commonly on the knees, elbows or scalp.
Because one thing's for sure, she could have easily covered up her psoriasis with the gold, but she decided against it - and for a good reason: "At first I was like, 'Wait a minute, I should cover this up, right?' and then I remembered, though, that it's not good for my skin and a lot of people live with psoriasis," Delevingne said.
