Police raced to Main Street on Thursday afternoon and a 44-year-old man has since been reported in connection with road traffic offences. Thankfully, there were no reports of injuries.

A car crashed into the front entrance of a card shop in Coatbridge on Thursday afternoon, destroying its window.

Emergency services scrambled to the town's Main Street at around 12.05pm following reports that a car had collided with the Card Factory store. The glass window was cracked and the frame was caved into the inside of the shop, LanarkshireLive reports. There were no reports of injuries. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.05pm on Thursday, 12 October, 2023 we received a report of a car colliding with a building on Main Street, Coatbridge.“A 44-year-old man will be reported in connection with road traffic offences.”
