Multiple cars were spotted on fire following the crash, which happened at around 8.55pm on Friday.
The incident happened outside Harvey's Bar and Kitchen on Penistone Road in Huddersfield and local police have appealed for information.
The driver was then arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and remains in police custody. Dramatic pictures taken from the scene, shared with Yorkshire Live, showed the vehicles engulfed in flames while a plume of black smoke billowed up into the sky. "It took place at 8.50pm after a black Volkswagen Golf was in collision with vehicles causing extensive damage. The driver and passenger of one of the vehicles received serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital. Persons from the other vehicles received minor injuries.
