The company’s net sales were down 47.9% YoY in its latest quarter, which it says was due to Resident Evil Village comparisonshas claimed it’s on track to achieve 10 years of consecutive operating income growth, despite its latest sales and income declining year-on-year. For the three months ended June 30, 2022, net sales were down 47.9% YoY at 25,232m yen, operating income down 48.9% at 12,061m yen, and ordinary income down 46.4% at 12,802m yen.
The company attributed the decline to the release of “a new major title” in the same period of the previous year:
