Scientists who were involved in the development of Covid jab say that a cancer vaccine could be available "before 2030".
The company was previously researching cancer immunotherapies that could be tailored to individual patients. Speaking to Laura Kuenssberg on her Sunday BBC programme, Professor Türeci said: "We have learned how to better, faster manufacture vaccines. We have learned how the immune system reacts.While they are hesitant to definitively say they can find a cure for cancer, they are confident that they are on the right path having had "a number of breakthroughs" thanks to the Covid vaccine development and rollout.
