Kirsty O'Brien will take part in the event in Spain next month
Cambuslang Harriers athlete Kirsty O’Brien has qualified for the World Triathlon Championships final later this season after a fine performance at the World Triathlon Sprint event in Germany.
Zach Seenan also took part in the Aquathlon Championships, and as the athletes emerged from the swim, the debut season athlete was in 13th place, sliced through the competition to finish second-fastest, winning the overall silver medal and the under-20 gold.Ten club athletes took part in the midweek Scottish Veterans 5k Road Race at Clydebank.
Taking part in the ‘B’ race, MacKenzie was second overall and first M60 and Clubb clinched the first lady award.
