Everton have been linked with a move for Callum Hudson-Odoi but the winger is not understood to be a Blues target
On Monday, the Evening Standard claimed that Fulham faced renewed competition for the winger after Everton and Nottingham Forest had entered the race. The 22-year-old is eager to quit Stamford Bridge in search of more regular playing time and had agreed personal terms with Marco Silva’s side but Craven Cottage chiefs have since cooled their interest over a reluctance to meet their west London rivals’ £8million asking price.
Although Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are believed to be in the mix for his signature, the ECHO understands that Hudson-Odoi is currently not an Everton target. The Wandsworth-born player made his senior debut for Chelsea when he came off the bench for Pedro as an 81st minute substitute in a 3-0 home win over Newcastle United in the FA Cup fourth round on January 28, 2018.
Since then he’s made 126 appearances for the club and has scored 16 goals and has been capped three times for England – providing an assist for one of his then Chelsea team-mate Ross Barkley’s two goals in a 5-1 victory against Montenegro – but spent last season on loan at Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, netting once in 21 outings.
