Hip-hop artists are set to appear as part of the update
Formally known as Warzone 2, the battle royale video game receives its first update since the launch of Season 4 Reloaded in early July. As the Mirror has reported, Season 5 is set to introduce several new features, including new skins, weapons and a map.
The Warzone Season 5 will release at 5pm BST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT on Wednesday, August 2 with the new season launching worldwide simultaneously across all platforms. We know this for certain as Activision confirmed the Season 5 update launch date and time in a blog post, but also because every big Warzone update always goes live at the same time, and always on a Wednesday.
Details on exactly what the live event will entail are scarce right now. However, Activision has said players will have to "join the ranks of Shadow Company to take on Konni forces and secure the chemical weapon threat before it’s too late".
