They will be able to expand the food menu thanks to a kitchen extension
A popular cafe bar that had been due to close for a revamp has postponed the plans due to 'an unexpected twist'. Buonissima had been scheduled to shut the doors on Monday, September 11.
But it will be staying open for a while longer to make way for an even bigger improvement, after planning permission was granted to expand the kitchen. The owners of the Italian-inspired venue, just over the Notts/Derbyshire border in Station Road, Sandiacre, said on social media: "We had an unexpected twist in our renovation plans that we couldn't wait to share with you all. We have received exciting planning permission to expand our kitchen and we couldn't be more thrilled.
Since opening in 2016, a limited food menu has been served due to the lack of space and equipment in the kitchen but the expansion means the chefs will be able to extend their repertoire."This unexpected blessing comes with a minor adjustment to our schedule. We are postponing the refurbishment to a later date to ensure everything is perfect for you. We understand that you might have been looking forward to the changes, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
"Rest assured, we are committed to keeping you in the loop every step of the way. We promise to update you regularly on the new renovation timeline, and we're confident that it’ll be worth the wait. "In the meantime, our doors remain wide open, and our kitchen is fired up to continue serving you delectable meals that have become your favourites over the years. We appreciate your patience and support throughout this exciting journey."
