Referring to the team orders controversy, Jenson Button says Red Bull put themselves in this 'negative marketing' situation. F1 ✍️ Formula_Nerds

His teammate, Lewis Hamilton, managed to secure P2, giving Mercedes their first 1-2 finish since Imola 2020. Red Bull were amongst the front-runners this weekend, but unfortunately didn’t achieve a podium finish.

Verstappen refused to listen to the team orders and stayed ahead of his teammate. Over the radio, the two-time world champion: “I told you already, last summer. The guys don’t ask that again to me. Okay? Are we clear about that? I gave my reasons, and I stand by it.” “It seems Red Bull have put themselves in this situation which definitely is negative marketing. It’s a real shame because like I say it could have been a perfect end to the race.”
