Tom and William Mongan were jailed at Glasgow Sheriff Court today after they were convicted of selling 11 pets to families across the country using Airbnb properties to cover their tracks.
Two puppy sellers responsible for "unimaginable misery" after flogging ill dogs have been jailed for a total of 18 months.
The brothers - who are of the Irish traveller community - were sentenced to nine month each by Sheriff Mark McGuire. He said: "Each of you pled guilty to what can be described as animal cruelty on 11 separate dogs. Tom went on to rent out a number of Airbnb properties in Glasgow for the purposes of selling more dogs. He advertised a springer spaniel puppy on website PetsForHomes which was answered by Thomas Young.
