It was the 25th year the service has taken place
Established in 1999 by Professor Ray Donnelly, founder and president of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, the service is designed to help those affected by cancer.
The actor, who played Jimmy Corkhill in the much-loved soap, spoke movingly about his own journey after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. Dean received a round of applause as he told how he was advised to "get on with life" and to "get on with what you want to do and what you want to achieve".
