Chrissy Rouse - a British superbike racer - has died from head injuries after crashing during the opening lap of a race several days earlier.

Chrissy Rouse, 26, was rushed to hospital after crashing his bike on the final corner of the opening lap at Donington Park after colliding ‘unavoidably’ with another rider. But it was not enough to save him and he is understood to have died peacefully surrounded by his family in hospital yesterday afternoon.
The race was immediately stopped following the accident and Chrissy was treated trackside by members of the BSB medical team.
